Joachim Bandau’s architectural and monumental sculptural works, such as *Untitled*, arise from his fascination with bunkers. *Untitled* is one of a series of small sculptures. Personal memories of German battlefields are very much present. Yet the dominant feature of these works is their simplicity and the functionality of their basic shape.
