The tapestries of this series articulate a long-standing interest of Bäckström’s: the impossibility of central perspective in today’s and tomorrow’s digital reality. ‘We are no longer looking at images; we are inside them. We have become the image and possibly we perceive our surroundings from the perspective of the image.’
