These individually titled works, selected from different series, combine various visual inspirations – traditional embroidered costumes of the Mari people, archaeological bronze figures of the Permian animal style (ca 800 BCE – 1200 CE), book illustration, computer games – into a gallery of ghostly characters, not always benevolent.
