Mixed Media , 33.3 x 64 cm
Wood, gesso, boll, gold, velum and missal covers, framed under glass

Cosmas and Damian are the patron saints of medicine. They were beheaded in Cilicia (modern day Turkey) in 287AD.  Like icons depicted in heaven, the missal covers come together forming a collar, enclosing two spots of the pharmaceutical red and green.
